Over 80 powerful images – winners and highlights from Vladivostok’s annual photo contest (2014–2024) – capture the soul of Russia’s “Gateway to the Pacific”: daily life, dramatic light and shadow, and the raw energy of a true port city. Highlights include:

- “Ballerina over the Golden Horn”

- “Night Watchmen of Fort Pospelova”

- “Postcard View”

The concept of “Homeport” is beautifully explained by the curators: for sailors, home isn’t just a house – it’s the harbor where their ship is registered. These photos are a love letter to Vladivostok as a home, a starting point, and a meeting place for people from countless cultures.

Before reaching Phuket, selected works were showcased at the Russian-Thai Investment Forum (RTIF 2025), highlighting Vladivostok’s role as Phuket’s sister city and the growing cooperation between the two seaside powerhouses.

Mr.Konstantin Bogdanenko, business man, arts patron, and advisor to the Governor of Vladivostok, said:

“It’s time for Thai people – especially Phuket residents – to see the potential, the similarities, and the huge opportunities for collaboration between two vibrant port cities that both live and breathe tourism and trade.”

A big thank-you to our honored guests who joined the opening:

- Mr. Boonterm Wimolpan, Deputy Mayor of Cherng Thale Municipality.

- Mr. Chawalit Chumphutthiphong, Director of Public Health & Environment, CherngThale Municipality

This isn’t just art for art’s sake – it’s a boost for Phuket’s cultural scene, inspiring local youth, photographers, and the creative economy while reinforcing Phuket’s image as a global destination that offers far more than just beaches.
